Pau Classic Car Grand Prix

Every year Pau hosts a WTCC race, a classic car race and a Formula 3 race across 3 different weekends. It was the first city in France to hold motor races on its streets. We visited the classic car race

It was a lot bigger by the end; we disposed of the old kitchen units, the ceiling paneling and plenty of old wood from the barn

The highlight of the session was finding this grapevine. We set up a rustic support using a junky old mimosa tree which we cleared to make room for it

This'll be bottled at the end of the season

Gavarnie

The Gavarnie natural ampitheatre (a UNESCO world heritage site no less). It is a couple of hours south east, although only about 65kms, the mountain roads take some patience and a little more time than expected

Keith helped cut the lawn, then feed the cows. They've developed a taste for the cuttings and now follow us along the fence when we're mowing and occasionally tussle for the winnings
